Join Danielle Fox, Director of SLATE contemporary gallery, for a discussion about the relationship between Photography & Painting and Photography & Abstraction. We will start at 2:00 on Saturday May 20th at SLATE (473 25th Street) with an overview of SLATE’s current exhibition, Gardens of Abstraction including comments by the curator and one or two artists from the show. From there we will walk to Chandra Cerrito Contemporary for an introduction to their gallery and a private viewing of work by Penny Olsen. Along the way, Danielle will speak a little about the history of the Uptown gallery district, and point out other art spaces and exhibitions of interest.
