Hope in the Stillness Collection

SLATE contemporary is proud to present the Hope in the Stillness Collection: a gorgeous exhibition of black and white paintings created by SLATE artist, Amy Donaldson.

Regarding her new collection Donaldson writes:

“During this unprecedented time in the world, more people that ever have been invited into a place of stillness and waiting. As so many across the world have been holding their breaths, waiting for some certainty and comfort, I have been in my studio, overflowing with new hope, and a buzzing excitement for the beautiful times ahead.

This new series in black and white represents a healing peace that can only really come when we slow down long enough for it to catchup to us. As you view this series, I hope you feel grounded in your body and spirit, like looking up at the sky through a silhouette of mature trees, or watching leaves float upon peaceful water.

I hope you feel supported, restful, and reassured that there is wonderful new season ahead for us.”
